Brian has been working as a software engineer in the visual effects industry since 1995. He joined Imageworks in 1999 and has contributed to several pipeline tools including Bonsai (compositing) and Splat (effects rendering).  He co-founded and supervises the Katana project, a lighting and compositing tool at Imageworks.  His work has been featured in the Siggraph 2008 panel, "Great Failed Ideas in Production."
