Kate Johnson
Kate Johnson is an artist whose mediums include film, digital media, photography and performance. She is President of EZTV, called "one of the core pioneers and advocates of digital technology in the moving image arts" by the American Film Institute. Her collaborative work has been seen in a variety of venues including the Cannes Film Festival, Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Institute of Contemporary Art in London, Lincoln Center, The History Channel, Channel 5 in France, SIGGRAPH and in theatres and public spaces internationally. As a motion graphic designer she has designed graphics and animations for large-scale live multimedia events for Maria Shriver¹s Women¹s Conference, California Governor Inauguration and for many major private and corporate events. Currently she is co-directing the feature documentary, ³Mia Slavenska: a Dancer¹s Odyssey² which has been awarded grants from the NEA and Roy W. Dean Film Grants and will air on PBS. She is adjunct faculty at Otis College of Art & Design where she has taught for over ten years in the areas of film directing and production, sound design and Flash design.
