Kim Van Hoven has worked in many capacities of production and post-production including digital colorist, digital ink and painter, practical model-maker, digital compositor, VFX artist, 3D facial animator, animation supervisor, demo artist, trainer, software sales, performance capture consultant, new media producer and business development support for emerging technologies in the media and entertainment industry.  (Please don’t mention this around her mother, who still thinks she has that nice secure job at the bank.)

Her professional goal is to be part of the story-telling experience through visual arts, with an ultimate aspiration of producing independent films.

As Treasurer, her aim will be to dutifully steward the organizations’ funds and happily assist the Executive Council to continue promoting excellent industry events and community dialog as we move forward into the 2010-2011 season.

Serving as Volunteer Chair for the local chapter during the 2009-2010 season, Kim discovered that the more you put into the LA ACM SIGGRAPH, the more you get out of it.  She encourages each of you to use your available time and energy to contribute to the organization in whatever way you can because the value of the shared knowledge and friends made at our General Meetings far exceeds the price of membership.
